Project Brief

This individual student project was an introduction to design and architecture. The process allows students to observe the environment through physical, symbolic and abstract ways. Using the elements of design, students are assigned to breakdown one architectural element in their assigned on-campus building and develop new ideas, with the focus on model making.

 

Concept

This structure is inspired by the appearance and function of how a curtain wall is "hung", as well as how the component draws attention from passerby's into the building.
